We always have a soft spot for our local Beaverdale homes and we love helping our clients come up with solutions that maximize their space. This galley kitchen needed a few tweaks in the layout and some much needed storage. The fridge was previously located near the doorway in the kitchen which meant that whenever the door was open, traffic was blocked one way or the other. Moving that to the end of the kitchen immediately changed the way the kitchen flowed. We converted an under-utilized closet into a pantry cabinet with large drawers below and doors above, which added much needed space for small appliances and food storage. We also created accessible access to the homeowners’ cookbooks near the range.
Aside from the layout changes we added loads of character with custom green cabinets, Caesarstone quartz countertops, a farmhouse sink, and a patterned floor tile that works really well with this charming home. The brass accents feel contemporary but with a slight retro feeling and finishes the space off perfectly.
